Fast Track used to be all over this area although I've never heard it called a chicken sandwich place. More known for their burgers. Big O with seasoned fries. TYFYS

Pretty sure Baileys was first
Nope. The only Bailey's was on the corner of Lee and Highland across the street from Canes #2 that had already been open for a while.

Fast track seasoned fries were the goat. Ate at the one where the McDonalds is now on O’Neal a ton as a kid

It was the only fast food restaurant in Central until I was in HS and we finally got a McDonald's. I had a buddy who worked there and we would drive through at closing and he'd give us all the leftover fries in a bag.

Whatever happened to Frickin Chicken? The owner went overseas or something? Seems like that was the story.
That guy was an Army sniper and did a couple tours. I asked him once-since it took 20 minutes to get your chicken, about the name and he said he was out in the field and told his buddy he needed to get out and get home. The guy asked him what he was going to do and he said “I don’t know fry frickin Chicken I guess “ the guy gave him his grandmother recipe and he opened up.
True or not that’s what he told me. Then he said he needed money and went back to Afghanistan and not long after it closed. Seems he may have opened in Denham later for just a short time?
Loved when you pulled up “Welcome to Frickin Chicken, can I take your frickin order?”
Great chicken and it’s missed. I would take that route to LSU football games and he would stand out front with $20.00 boxes and sell as you waited in traffic. Couldn’t fry fast enough.

From my recollection, Canes and Bailey’s opened within a week of each other. The story is Canes beat them my a week. Canes #2 definitely was not there before Bailey’s. Bailey’s was good, but their toast was crap. The drive thru only is what I think hurt Bailey’s when Canes 2 moved in.

Didn’t the Fast Track become a Bailey’s (Cane’s ripoff)?
Bailey’s was there prior to Cane’s setting up shop on Lee Drive at Highland.
And Bailey’s was 10 x better tasting too. Unfortunately, Bailey’s didn’t know how to run a business to be profitable.
