Yep Duffy's is legit.

Are ya'll in town for sight seeing? If you have time and willing to travel a little, there is a very cool little museum in Patterson. It's a sawmill/airplane museum.Free to get in.

El Mexicano is way better than Tampico's...Tampico's is just a place to drink and for women to be "seen".

For one of the best meals you ever had go to Mr. Listers in Charenton, about 20-30 minutes away. Upper end money wise but worth it. They also have a sunday brunch that is cheaper.

Mr Lester's is a great steakhouse, but thats more of a special occasion type place to me. It does blow away Ruth's Chris though

Victor's egg, bacon, and cheese sandwhich is probably my favorite breakfast item.

I'm glad to hear that Victor's is still there. That was the go to place for my 2 old Taunts before they passed. They never married and were too old to cook. Victor's was a block away from their house on Main Street. Very close to The Shadows.

I was born and raised in N.I. Last time I went back was 10 years ago. Tried to find the house I was born in. Very depressing. Got lost in my old neighborhood. You can't go back home again.

yes Billeaud's is in Penny Wise. It's the same Billeaud's boudin/lunches from Billeaud's grocery in Broussard.

The ONLY non fast food restaurant in the city that is open is Mexico Lindo. Dip is pretty good, salsa is warm. This place has a larger decor budget than most Mexican places.
Was upset to find the entire city shut down today.
We were close to getting sonic or caines.

It was good. Tasted good and no stomach issues.
Just cooked dinner tonight then paddled the pirouge up and down from downtown to the big bridge and back.
Going to get meche's donuts tomorrow. Then lunch at that lunch counter, bon something. Nice little town.
It's fun having a cabin on the bayou and we have our own two acres and a mini green egg to cook on.

I'm on the bayou right off main street in view of the big bridge.
Saw a gator by the dock today and took a pirouge out.
Went to van winkle and had lunch today on Jefferson island.
Shadows wasn't that nice compared to other plantations.
Cooked steaks on the little big green egg at the cabin tonight. It's nice for $125 a night.
I'll put up a link after I check out.
