What on your grill/smoker this weekend? Chicken Thighs, Turkey, and eggplant

Have to thank GeauxTigers0107 for the pepper jelly/tiger sauce idea. It was awesome.
Turkey breast cuts dry rubbed with my rub, olive oil, and honey along with an Italian marinated whole breast:
Foil wrapped the turkey, and started searing boneless skinless chicken breast marinated in the pepper jelly/ tiger sauce mix:
Took the turkey off, added more charcoal, seared some thighs in the pepper jelly marinade and moved to indirect heat and added some wood chips:
I have a mix of zucchini/squash/ eggplant/baby portobellos to grill at the end.
Sampler Platter:
Enjoy your Sunday.

Got a 7lb chicken from hudderites (our version of Amish basically) splayed and on the smoker since 11:30am

Can you tell a big difference in taste or flavor from store bought? Store bought farm raised organic?

Spare ribs and corn on the cob

This chicken isn't certified organic but it gets to roam around while it's alive. I assume they fatten and kill them after they stop laying eggs. The main difference I notice is that they're almost turkey sized but still pretty juicy. The only chicken I ever buy from grocery store is wing for hot wings so I don't have too much of a point of reference though.

Well where do you find the Amish chicken turkeys? I'd like to try them out.

Did you do some yourself?

I've got a whole turkey breast brining since this morning
I was going to put it on the pit before I go to bed
anyone have a guess on temp so it doesn't overcook?
I'm guessing it's about 5 pounds
Or should I just put it in the oven?

That looks great Breesus! I had a fire going and nothing obvious to smoke so I made a queso:
Cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, homemade chili, sauted jalapeños and green peppers layered in a skillet

Haha my kids jumped on the queso to the point we have over half a chicken left. Gonna make a chicken pot pie for dinner tomorrow (it's sooo good with smoked chicken).

you arent getting laying hens to eat. 2 different types of chickens.
they dont fatten them but probably just grow them a little longer(and slower) than a standard chicken at the grocery store. maybe 70-80 days instead of 42-44
btw, that queso looks killer
