my brother in law recently got divorced (which means I am no longer technically in Lester's family) and he bought a place walking distance from the River Shack. I really like the vibe of that place.

The river shack is nice. Decent food too.

Yeah, and the food is pretty good for bar food. I have enjoyed the deli sandwiches.

HIghjack--you are still welcome to come watch some baseball next season. My tickets rock. Midweek games would be no problem.

I had good 18 month run at ZeZes where we would roll in and the bartender would just serve us up the regular.. I was usually 2-3 times a week for 1-4 drinks and a round of tee

Now it's bulldog..the beer selection won us over plus the patio.

I'm there more on weekdays. It's the regular after work place for me Monday-Wednesday. The Cove is becoming a regular spot for me too.

Actually the Bama game night was the first weekend night I've ever been to Duvics. I'm not used to fighting through people to get to the bar.

I hate to admit this, but post-college it was/is probably Grits prior to moving to Houston.

mine is kind of the opposite.

start at bulldog on friday night and then go to earls after. the crowd at the bulldog is a good way of seeing how the earls crowd will be after midnight. my friends that bartend at bulldog say the owner of earls will actually come into bulldog around 10pm to see how crowded his bar will be.

or

bulldog to either duvics or happys so i can play the jukebox. im a jukebox junkie

Vic's. They only have about 4 bartenders, seldom packed, and I go there 4-5 times a month.
