What happened to the cooking challenges on this board?

I never participated in cooking but voted. They were fun threads.

I tried to restart a version of them, but couldn't get enough people interested to make a go of it. I'm guessing it's dead for now. Maybe Darla just had the magic touch. It really died off when she stopped leading the charge.

In all seriousness, many of the people with the most talent/best submissions stopped posting on this board. Understandably -- life gets busy. It's just no longer fun to participate when the majority of the actual talented cooks are gone.

I’ve also noticed a lack of participation in the daily WFDT threads. A considerable drop in posts and pictures.

They're are so many boards now i don't even check most of them anymore. I so like this board but not as active in it. Plus he pt board has really shadowed every other board. It used to be the Rant drew people in then they posted elsewhere. Now it's the poliboard bringing people in and everything is political now.
