The US climbed from worst to first in about 15 years.

The diversity of great choices is mind-blowing when you think about what we used to have.

USA by a very wide margin, and that's coming from someone who loves a lot of Belgian and Czech/German styles. The US has a long standing tradition of eschewing tradition (contradiction, I know). Because of that, we've been able to innovate without fear of disrupting the status quo. We aren't afraid to experiment. Anyone who says another country is the leader is a try-hard poser.

And Brew Dog can suck it. If you combined the worst traits of the British and the brashness of Stone, you get Brew Dog. Stone can at least walk the walk. Brew Dog can only talk the talk.

Do we get that here in LA?

I don't know if I've had it, let alone even heard of it

I thought it was distributed nationally through importers, but I could be mistaken.

I enjoyed a bunch of Belgium beers but they had some bad ones. Just like everywhere else...

As pretty much everyone else in this thread has said, the US is absolutely crushing it right now in craft beer. It's pretty astounding when I think about the amount of breweries/beers I've tried over the last 4 years or so and I still hear about new breweries every single day

US without a doubt. Nobody has the incredible variety and quality that we do. Sure, other countries may make the same shite for 600 years, but it's the same shite. Nothing new.

Mind you, if you like the same shite for 600 years, then it's Germany.

Belgium has the highest batting average
U.S. has the most "great" and the most "worst".
In Germany, it's illegal to make bad beer, but purity laws restrict variety.
Mexico makes my favorite dark beer, Cervesa de los Muertas Choclatl Stout.
