I have the boning knife from the same set, it is a great value for sure.

Does the chef's knife lack weight? How's the weight balance?

Enough weight and it's well distributed. This knife has a great feel. I love it.

My favorite chef knife once I got used to it..
Holds a good edge and sharpens easily.

Its very lightweight, that took some getting used to.

Got a set of magnalite pots and pans. Now all I need is a good dutch oven.

A Folse cookbook I already had, 2 Thermoses, a cool cookbook calked Duck, Duck Goose, and a grill pan. Also bought myself a custom made wood burning stove/ Heater for the camp. She's a beaut

I got a pretty sweet rack for grilling vegetables. Finally wont lose half of my veggies falling through the grate.

This is it when I first got it set up on the porch the other day. Have since got it rigged a little better. I'll post a live pic with a Dutch oven full of courtboullion this evening if I'm coherent enough.
