What bakery made those turtle cookies in Nola?

Lots of them. Gambino's has them. Haydel's. All your old-school places.

It was McKenzies. The Tastee Doughnut store on Harrison in Lakeview acquired the recipes and has them. They even have a Mckenzies sign in front of the store.

The one on Clearview and West Metairie has the McKenzies recipes too.

It's not just the store in Lakeview, the Clearview location also has McKenzie's products (and I think there are few other locations as well, but I know it's not all of the Tastee locations because the one on the Westbank Expressway out in Westwego doesn't have them).
