The burger on the lunch menu at Harry Caray's in Chicago is the best I've ever had. If they'd brought 10 I'd have eaten all of them.

My current go to is The Brunch Burger at Brown Butter. Burger, fries, and 2 draft beers for $16. Really tough to beat that deal.

Not really. Burgers are nostalgic. And port of call was the first burger that I tasted growing up that blew me away. So.. it's a favorite.
Port of Call is definitely in my top 3. There's no nostalgia for me, I just really enjoy them.

For Birmingham, here are my top 3 traditional burgers (Not including places like Chez Fon Fon where the burgers are less traditional style)
1. Sammy's Sandwich Shop
(You can get it on texas toast which is also fantastic)
2. Saw's BBQ (or Juke Joint or Soul Kitchen)
3. Golden Rule BBQ Hwy 31
Can't find a decent picture unfortunately
Honorable mention to Hamburger Heaven Jumbo Cheeseburger.
