making from fresh tuna or canned/bagged tuna?

I love to take fresh blackfin tuna, boil in crab boil water then let it soak shredded.

If using the canned stuff you could just soak in the crab boil water to get the flavor

I mix in purple onions, halved green grapes, mayo or greek yogurt, and diced a jalapeno.

So damn good on bread or on a cracker

Chopped apple, chopped walnuts, Dijon mustard, Wild Planet tuna. Add chopped dill pickles (I use tiny, sour cornichons) if you'd like. If you like a spreadier salad (I like mine on the dry side), add a tablespoon of plain greek yogurt.

I've been dumping a can of Wild Planet, broken up, onto leftover bagged chopped salad/slaw blend: the kale slaw w/brussel sprouts, poppyseed dressing, sunflower seeds, etc seems to go really well with tuna. ETA: WalMart sells a bunch of these veggie slaw kits in a bag. They're six small servings or four big ones...plenty enough to use as side for dinner, w/some left over for lunch the next day. Topped w/tuna, it is very filling.

IIRC, you have limited cooking facilities and shop at big box stores. Here's a link to the salad kit @ WalMart: LINK The Ready Pac brand has various veg combinations. All you need is a bowl to mix the ingredients. You can buy a plastic lidded container big enough to put it all in, then shake to mix. Use the same container to store leftovers, dump your tuna into the next day and you're out the door.

I had a craving for a Taco Sisters' signature cold smoked tuna taco tonight and made the drive there but they were sold out.

I would do a Tuna Melt on Rye. Use Jarlsberg cheese and top with avocado and alfalfa sprouts.

I love a basic tuna salad made with minced onion, celery, a touch of sweet relish and dill pickle, mayo, salt and pepper.

If I want it with a little extra punch, I'll dice up some pickled jalapeno to put in it.
