Meiomi is produced by Belle Glos, IIRC. I believe by the young folks of the family.

Meiomi is a good everyday pinot but it is a far cry from Belle Glos.

We celebrated my 50th birthday dining at Coquette with a few friends, one considers himself a wine connoisseur (only drinks cabs and zins and definitely no whites, but I digress). As I was ordering the wines, I asked him if he liked Pinots and he turned his nose up. I ordered the Belle Gloss Clark and Telephone as it was priced at $60 (I still think this was a mistake). I had him do the tasting honors and asked if I needed to order another bottle, cab or zin? He declined and we proceeded to clean them out of Belle Glos that night.

Not a bad wine at all. I find it similar to the Meiomi.

Innocent Bystander is the shite.

I have a bottle of En Route that was a gift but I am still saving it for a special occasion.

I had an amazing Pinot at the Rib Room in New Orleans. I don't really know brands so i just asked for a Pinot and it was great.

I regret not asking now.

The Willamette Valley is much more like Burgundy than anywhere in California.

Willamette Valley pinots are great and offer a wide range of prices. Love Willamette Valley Winery pinots, about $24, good value

2009 Benton Lane (Oregon) Pinot Noir. I like this one A LOT. Deep wine with notes of berries and cherry. About $25/bottle, it's a very "drinkable" Pinot. From Benton-Lane: Very deep and complex aromas of Bing cherries, graham cracker pie crust, mushrooms and blackberries just leap from the glass. In the mouth blueberries, red raspberries and baked strawberries are ripe and viscous. This is a wine of tremendous depth and nuance.

Been on a Frank Family kick and looking to try something new.

If you like Frank Family, you will love Failla's pinot noirs. Small place a little south of Frank Family. They don't produce a ton, so if you see it, grab it.
