Grits, sweet tea, Coke instead of Pepsi, first you make a roux, smoked sausage, boudin
...
Wait maybe I have just been around too many Yankees lately

As an outsider, I was well acquainted with LA stuff, but had never heard of magnalite.
And I think it’s pretty uncommon elsewhere, including most of the Deep South

Yeah, I just don't think food regions are as nearly distinct as they once were. I don't live in Louisiana and only lived there briefly when I was very young, but most of the stuff mentioned so far is in our kitchen. We've got Tony's, Slap Yo Mama, file, pepper vinegar (who doesn't?), various hot sauces, Steen's cane syrup (would like to have the vinegar, but can't find it), and so on. We also have stuff that reflects other parts of the country like Old Bay, maple syrup, hot honey, and so on.

I’m sure this is not a Louisiana thing but I’ll be damned if it isn’t a handy tool in a coonass kitchen. I use mine all the time. There is no better tool for getting the oil off of stews, gumbos, gravy, and other soups.
“Change your life” is not an overstatement. It really made life in the kitchen easier for the above applications.

I'll assume that by rare in others, it would mean it would be hard to find said items in stores in other places.
So from when I lived in Houston, it was hard to find the following (but it got easier the longer I lived there)
Blue Plate Mayo
Diet Barq's
File
Pickled Pork / Tasso / Ham Seasoning
As far as the one thing I did when cooking that shocked people? Soaking red beans overnight.
