Wife picked up a pretty delicious Greek salad from the “grab n go” section at Sam’s. Romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, pepperoncini peppers, feta, green olives, red onion, and some sort of vinaigrette

Chicken Salad in my Dad's favorite orange plastic cereal bowl. He has been gone for several years now. He and Mom had six of these orange melamine bowls purchased at Grant's Dept Store in Westland Plaza, back in the 1950's.
Dad was a WWII (D day+4) veteran who died of dementia and for the last couple of years before he died, he was somewhat unresponsive.
At breakfast, he would fill the bowl absolutely to the rim with his cornflakes and then the milk. He would put so much in it, he was unable to pick it up, so he would stand beside the sink in the kitchen and eat it until he had taken enough from the bowl to be able to pick it up. Usually, he would just stay there and finish it. Great memories of my hero in that orange plastic bowl holding my chicken salad tonight.

I love your story about your Dad! Values that some young people don’t always get.
When I pull out most of my cast iron, I think of my grandmother because much of it was hers and they are still seasoned from her.
