Chicken, Andouille and Sausage Gumbo


This morning I started with breaking out the big #34 LeCrueset cast iron pot(I think it 's like a 13.5 qt. pot)and getting things going. I didn't get any pictures until everything was in there and ready to simmer. Of course it's got chicken, andouille, tasso, smoked green onion sausage and smoked sausage.





My bowl I had for dinner tonight








Also had a baked sweet potato on the side.

Pretty darn good gumbo today!

Greens - tasted like arse. Out the can, but usually pretty solid for what it is.

I've been wanting to try to make gumbo. Haven't had gumbo in 25 years.

Yours looks fantastic. I could eat 3 bowls of that.


I grilled some strips last night, asparagus and corn on the cob.
