Made some hamburger steaks today.

Simmering in the onions and mushroom gravy.

Earlier this afternoon I made some bread dough and set aside to rise while I was prepping everything else. Looks ready to punch down nand make the rolls and a loaf of sandwich bread.

Rolls have risen and ready to bake.

Baked and ready for some butter and eating!

Loaf of bread for toasting and sandwiches.

Time to eat!
Hamburger steaks in onion and mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, black eye peas and marinated then roasted zucchini and squash and my half wheat and honey rolls.

I made it to publix today. While shopping in the meat department a Publix employee who I learned is suffering brain cancer as well got sick all over the place. Ended up talking to him for a bit. The meat manager saw what happened and offered me whatever I wanted at half price for the inconvenience. So I had him cut me a 2" thick bone-in ribeye.

I made something I’ve never made before, cheesy chicken and spaghetti. Mainly because my kids have been blabbing all year about how good their school’s was. So I googled some recipes, found most of them to be cream of chicken soup and velvetta laden train wrecks. I decided to trust my instincts. Show my cooking chops. I made my cheessy chicken and spaghetti with some roasted chicken thighs, homeade stock, a dandy béchamel, good cheese lots of garlic and fresh herbs. Took 3 damn hours. It got eaten but was reported to be no where near as good as the schools. Those ladies just know how to cook they said. Fml

Don’t know what the rich people are eating, but it can’t be any better than that plate of food.

As long as you liked it, thats all that matters.

You know kids prefer bullshite vs the gourmet stuff.
