Gonna be in Texas today staying in the Seabrook area. I can drive over to the Pearland area or Houston is a little further. Trying to pick a bbq place for dinner. So far considering the following three:

Killens in Pearland
Pinkertons in Pearland
Truth in Houston

Which of those should I hit or is there somewhere better in the area?

I have already tried Pit Room, Rudy’s, and Lockharts on prior trips.

Update went to Pinkertons. Got the both the dry rub and glazed ribs and moist brisket. Outstanding. Thanks for the suggestions.

You can’t get dinner at a true BBQ

Truth during the day

Pinkerton’s is in the Heights homie…and is my choice of the three.

Good luck standing in line at Truth.

Pinkertons has better sides, the BBQ are both excellent so that is a push.

I'd say Truth if it was for lunch. But since Truth isn't open for dinner, I'd go with Pinkertons

Of those three, Truth by a slight margin.

Have only been to Pinkerton's once and Killen's a bunch but all my trips to Killen's were better than my one trip to Pinkerton's. That said, offshoreangler knows his Houston joints. He won't steer you wrong.

Since it sounds like you're willing to drive some, throw Roegels on Voss into the mix. Great brisket and GOAT pork ribs.

Truth is open for dinner Thursday thru Saturday…but it’s a crap shoot on what they have left.

Went to Pinkerton's one time and loved it. I don't know what it is about the baked beans but they were much more on the savory side.

If anyone can share a copycat recipe on those I would appreciate that.

Their beans, to me at least, are a ranch style.

I think the Homesick Texan has a recipe for ranch style beans.
