Went to Adrian's tonight for first time

It was not good!!! Point blank!!!
There was not one thing we enjoyed, from the food, to the service, and to the atmosphere.
The food reminded me of Disney World food. It sounded good on the menu, but fell way short.
We had seafood Mac & Cheese, burger, shrimp romalade, spinach & artichoke dip, and crawfish dip. Nothing was memorable. Even their table bread (which they charge for) had raw garlic on it, making it not good.
I personally had the seafood Mac & Cheese. It was macaroni with frozen (or tasted frozen) seafood, and a very thin, watery cheese sauce.
The atmosphere was horrible. The acoustics were so bad, you couldn't hear the person across the table. When we sat down, there was a shrimp on the floor behind me (my back was to the isle, not the wall). It was still there when we left, all mashed, from being stepped on.
Service wasn't too good either. You shouldn't have to ask the staff for another drink 10 minutes after you finish the one you have. I am not talking about soft drinks, I am talking about beer, where a server should be on top of that since it's a tab builder.
I cannot believe this is a spin off Juban's, one of my favorite restaurants in BR.

Ive seen stuff like this a few times recently. Multiple employees walking past trash on the floor, looking at it, and just not giving a shite

Are you saying it wasn’t “magical” like the advocate told me?

Kinda sad to see so many resturants that open in that area to be so average....thought jubans would be different but the reviews are so terrible I've decided not to waste my time going....

We’ve been 4 times now, had different stuff every time and I agree the food is just not good.
I’ve never had a problem with service at least.
It’s amazing it’s a jubans venture with their other successful places where the food is top notch.

I’ve been for lunch a couple of times and it has been ok. Not outstanding by any means but serviceable. But we need to realize it has only been open about 3 months. They have a lot of money invested and they know how to run restaurants so I can’t imagine they aren’t aware of their problems and are working towards fixing them. Patience can be a virtue.

Why do you keep going back?

No offense but Juban's has sucked on my past couple of visits -- I won't go back

It’s very close, good beer selection for the area, and easy to bring the kids when going early. I’m hoping to find something good on the menu.
ETA: “not good” isn’t the right term. The burger is decent, the short rib poboy is decent (too much bread / not enough meat though) steak is good. My wife got the Waldorf salad which was decent, agree with the OP that the seafood Mac and cheese is not good and whatever the fish sandwich is called is average at best.
The apps are all bad though, on one visit we had a large group without any kids, sat in the bar and got a bunch for table to share. Only the fried calamari and white bean hummus came close to being finished.

Gotcha, makes sense. I'd go somewhere if they had a good tap list and make the food work.
I sometimes goto BWW at the Metairie location, they have a very good tap list and the food is just ok.

I gave Adrian's another try last Friday evening and had a much better experiences than the past few times. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the hostesses they have when you first walk in, the whole interaction with them can make or break a persons dinning experience. They still have the hostesses that look at you like they're checking you out in a Walmart line instead of an upscale restaurant waiting to be seated.

I’ve been twice, once for dinner (after the Auburn game) once for lunch (last Tues). Service has been awful both times. The salads that come with the entrees are embarrassing.
Short rib poboy is good, but not enough meat as others have said. Steak frites was solid, cooked perfectly but didn’t have the chimichurri that it called for on the menu.

The first time we went it wasn’t very good. Went last night and it was ok. I hope they improve on the food because their alcohol selection is pretty good.
