Picking up someone from the airport in Monroe soon, never been to the place and was just wondering if by chance anyone on the FB has.

If so, what are some good appetizers, entrees, drinks etc.?

TIA

I've been. It's been a while though (like 7 years) lol.

There's a Catfish dish that is really good. Let me look at the menu. Catfish Desiard.

Their remoulade is pretty good too IIRC.

I'm not sure where to steer you for an appetizer though.

ETA: Oh and the stuffed potato!! MMMM. That's a pretty heavy lunch though.

I don't think I've ever drank anything other than beer there so not sure about cocktails. The grilled catfish and grilled shrimp are both good and a friend of mine says the pork chop is amazing, never had it myself though.

thanks, they do have an optional outdoor area right? I'd rather be able to enjoy the scenery.

Everything is very good, but nothing is spectacular.
Catfish Desiard
BBQ Shrimp
Shrimp Rahkee
Oysters Weemos
Stuffed Mushrooms
Pork chops

All good, but nothing that will blow you away.

They have outdoor seating and seating along big glass windows on Bayou DeSaird. Nice spot.

Appetizers: Oysters Weemo & Shrimp Rahkee are excellent
Entree: Catfish DeSaird, Steak w Rahkee Topping, Pork Chop
(Most all of their grilled fish are solid, too)
Dessert: Bread Pudding (Homeade w Rum Sauce)

I dig the joint.

Beef tips and rice is the GOAT lunch special if they still have that.

The pork chops are my favorite thing there. The seafood dishes are decent. Sometimes they get heavy handed with the cayenne. And there's absolutely nothing fried at Waterfront. So if that's your thing, you're SOL.

That bothers the shite out of me, and the main reason I've only eaten there 4 times in all the years it's been open. It's a matter of principle...
