I'm trying to plan some different dishes for this year since it's on a Friday and I can focus more on cooking than usual.

I've got some nice purple globe eggplant that will be ready in a few days and I'll use them to make an eggplant/shrimp/cheese casserole.
Earlier this month I bought a whole slab of prime boneless N.Y. Strip and cut that into 1 1/2 in thick steaks, vacuum sealed most of them and froze them. I'll take some out to grill. Maybe doctor up a little Texas Toast and pop that in the oven.
I've got lots of cucumbers and tomatoes from the garden, so a nice salad to go with this will be more than enough food.

Usually I would grill a ton of food. But probably just stick to a few burgers, hot dogs and boudin. Leaving for Chicago the 5th and don't want left overs.

Bought 2 lbs of grillades from a local butcher shop recently. Will probably throw those on the grill with some homemade raspberry crumble pie for dessert.

Probably same as last year. Burgers, brats, dogs, boudin, Maque choux, and chips. Watermelon for dessert.

Sounding good. I’m not doing the main course, but I’m still narrowing down to a few sides to contribute. I’m leaning towards scratch baked beans, warm potato salad, and my mawmaw’s crab macaroni salad.

Shrimp cocktail, steak, salad, French bread, loaded baked potatoes, cheesecake with fresh blackberry sauce

Normally we have people over and cook a bunch of ribs, but this year it's just going to be my 3-unit family. So probably just some hot dogs early, chips and dip, and then a small Lowcountry Boil for dinner before the fireworks start.

Grilled burgers, hot dogs, and wings.
Wife is handling the sides and dessert.
