GRITS ARE MADE FROM CORN, nothing else.

I think places call it corn grits because it has kernels of corn mixed in rather than just grinded corn.

I think they call it corn grits to make it sound more interesting than it really is.

Well that too but I think we can all agree here that when places call their grits "corn grits", they're gonna have a bunch of whole corn kernels in it.

I usually get the club. It's hard for places like that to eff up a sandwich, so that's what I usually stick to.

That's what I used to get there (chicken club) because they served it on a croissant with blackened chicken, but they stopped serving it that way so I moved to their new Black Jack Chicken sandwich.
I think it's really good, and that's saying a lot for WalkOns.

their service is terrible...esp at the LSU location
the bar service is really bad at the walk-ons at LSU.. the girls are good looking but slow as molasses, if they even acknowledge you.

What has caused people to bash it so bad?
It was atrocious when it first opened. I haven't been back since.

I got called out and embarrassed in my own thread on grits.
me
Yes they had whole corn kernels in the "corn grits", unlike my Quaker Oats instant grits packets that I have at home which I just call grits.
I guess now someone is gonna tell me that corn isn't a vegetable.
I thought the service was decent at Coursey, but I was disappointed in the lack of overall hotness in the waitstaff.

I've never had this issue and I go on the busiest night of the week for them most times. Of course, I go there fairly often and recognize most of the bartenders so I assume they recognize me as well.

I stand corrected, didn't know there was 2 in Baton Rouge. I don't think they are going to win a James beard award, but its not horrible. I had the hangover burger at the Lafayette one Friday and it was pretty good.
