Food is awful as of late and may be worse than crapplebees. If I want a beer then I would go to another bar.

Regatta in Lake Arthur

Ate there a while back, think less than a year after they had opened. Very disappointed and never went back.

I have not. Been to the one in Katy, and it’s actually pretty darn good for what usually passes as “Cajun” food in Texas. Beats the crap out of places like Pappadeaux’s and Floyd’s.

I believe the original owners of the chain are from Eunice. Opened and owned DC’s Sports Bar and Grill there.

It Brandon Landry went on that show, “Cover the Boss” or something and bragged about getting his shrimp from Mississippi.

It isnt feasible to have a consistent product in all of their stores at a decent price using louisiana seafood. Imagine that price at the Las Vegas location
Fair point. I was talking about the location in Lafayette. Gulf/Louisiana seafood is readily available.

Even if I didn't ask, I got one of their shrimp dishes awhile back because I really don't care for the restaurant at all and it was the only dish I felt like trying. The shrimp were the smallest size you could imagine in their oily sauce.

But yes, it is such a cop out to say "hey it MIGHT be imported this time around but we can't say for sure every day so we'll just make this blanket statement."

Around here, I try to eat at restaurants that don't have the same options every day. Places that have multiple fish of the day options.

One of my favorite places. Inexpensive, good atmosphere, and live music. Biggest drawback is that it's not on the water, but it would be more expensive if it was.

I am pretty sure the salmon is not local though. But the key is that they serve what the fishmonger has fresh (except for the salmon).

We should all dine at places that sourc their seafood locally.

Regatta is very hit or miss on food. Pretty sure that has to do with who's in the kitchen at any given time.
But the atmosphere is superb...
