It's a joke of a dish and fresh potatoes for fries trumps frozen fries all day, much less a homemade ranch sauce and high quality freshly grated cheddar or Swiss.

Well I would think your fries suck since I hate ranch.

Im simply stating that it's very easy to recreate such an easy dish at home with a little time, and said dish will be much better than what you get at walkons.

You also said it was overpriced, but you can barely buy potatoes and cheese for $10 these days, much less bacon and peppers. Can't you just admit your hyperbole?

Yes I have...they were under seasoned and tasted like shite. Leroys next door has better cheese fries for a lot cheaper.

Just accept it, amigo...walk ons sucks

The thread lost it's context over on the rocks or over ice. Those are one in the same to me. The receipt says Crown with ice. A mixed drink apparently comes with ice. A cranberry and vodka is a mixed drink that could also be a martini, with no ice.

So, in my new understanding, certain mixed drinks need to be specified of how to serve it and others don't. That's what these kids are telling me So I'm back where I started.

If that is what you had said, I would a agree.

" I haven't made cheese fries since I became an adult and actually learned how to cook"

Pretty condescending.

Nevertheless, I am sure you are a good guy, and I should not have said acting like a dick. That is pretty dick of me.

Well, he did.

I've never been asked to specify ice in an old fashion, but I'm sure I probably don't order them correctly (seriously).

Either that, or I don't care about your ability to make cheese fries.

Majorly disagree.

Not impressed with their food at all, and I wouldn't say $8 is "a lot cheaper" than $10.

I've been asked a handful of times up or on the rocks for an OF. More times than not they just immediately serve it over ice, which is how I want it anyways so it's never really a problem.

It's cheaper than $10, with more additions and better taste

Keep fellating walkons though

Yea, because that's exactly what I've been doing in this thread.

Pretty much...Walk ons whipped out its overpriced cheese fry dick, and you salivated over it until it blew hot, overpriced ranch all over your face.

Admit it

A mixed drink =/= on the rocks

on the rocks = liquor ONLY over ice

on the rocks = 2 oz pour

mixed drink = 1.5 oz pour + mixer (coke, juice, water, tonic, etc.)

I haven't read the entire thread, but why is on the rocks a 2 oz pour and mixed a 1.5 oz pour. Why aren't they both the same? Why does "on the rocks" make a difference in the amount of pour? Is straight up a 1.5 oz pour or a 2 oz pour?

Because you aren't mixing anything with the liquor so they want more liquid in the glass to be more aesthetically pleasing? I don't know. It's just what I was taught and what the bar I worked at did.

Crazy kid.

I could go on for quite a while about mixed drinks that can be served numerous ways. And I don't care what your definition of "mixed drinks" is. It'll read mixed drink on the menu. Wiki says "A mixed drink is a beverage in which two or more ingredients are mixed" LINK Wiki is all knowing. It doesn't mention ice or on the rocks.

Countless shots can be served rocks/up/martini.
Countless martinis can be served rocks/martini/up.

Agreed...I'd even say that taking Arby's cheddar sauce, dumping it on burger kings fries, and sprinkle some Cajun Powder from Popeyes would be better than Walk Ons cheese fries
