I have one and never use it anymore. When I first got it, I cooked baked potato soup in it. It was wild.

I have a big Ninja blender but don't use it nearly as much as I use my cheap immersion blender.

I guess if you have a need for a super-blender, Vitamix is the gold standard.

The only folks I've ever known who really got their money's worth out of a Vitamix had a child on a feeding tube, so they had to crush and blend every meal.

Have had mine for at least ten years and if it broke tonight, I’d gladly buy another one tomorrow.

We've used a Vitamix Prep 3 for over 20 yrs. No problems. I think you can could puree a 2X4 in it. Best margaritas ever.

Margaritas: 1 large can frozen lime-aid; 2 trays ice; lime-aid can filled with tequila; 1/2 lime-aid can triple-sec. Puree to a mush. Enjoy!

I got a Vitamix as a discounted refurbished unit several years ago, it’s the most impressive countertop machine I’ve ever used. If you use a blender regularly it’s amazing.

Same. But wish I had one that allowed you to change from blender to food processor.

I know absolutely nothing about modern day Vitamix machines, other than they blend my smoothies at SK..

My hand-me-down 1970s Vitamix 3600 from my parents is still going strong..a battle axe. Hell, their wedding gift Oster blender from the mid 1960s was still strong when I donated it to charity ten years ago.

Same. It's incredible. My son uses it often for smoothies, and it whipps up the best frozen drinks. It's fantastic for pureeing as well
