Has anyone eaten here lately. I am looking to take the wife out on a childless date and I am looking for something special in Shreveport. Insert joke about Shreveport here!

Never been, but the consensus from everyone that I've talked to is that its the best in Shreveport.

It's expensive but very good. Tables are close together so keep your voice down.

How much can I expect to fork out? Less than $200?

Just the two of you? Yes, you can stay under 200 without a problem.

My favorite restaurant in S'port-Bossier. It's a small place. Great service and great food. Looks like an old mob joint. In fact, it's owned by a paisan.

If you've not yet made reservations, ask for Phillip to be your waiter.

They do good martinis and get the bride a Snow Bear with the dessert.

The shrimp and oyster apps are good. The veal and lamb are really good. They usually have good nightly specials

Bon Apetit!

shrimp lafitte/lafayette: fried shrimp served in a garlic/green onion demiglace plus bread to sop up all the sauce. this is my favorite appetizer at any restaurant.
carpacio salad is also very good.
steaks are great, as is the lamb

Is he the weirdo with the white beard? It can't be, because I hate that guy. He forgets the menu half way through and starts over.

OP: There are no prices and the menu is orated, but you won't be shocked with the bill (~$15 apps, ~$40 entrees).

Get a snowbear for dessert.

No, he's mid 40's, heavy set with dark hair. An excellent waiter. He knows the menu inside and out.
