I know that even typing this is sacrilege, but I've been wanting to try Vietnamese Crawfish for several years now, but had never seen them offered in BR area.

NOLA and H-Town have had them for awhile now...

I've always been a purist. I don't believe in steaming and applying seasoning like they do in parts of Acadiana region. I boil to color, I soak, and I do it right, and I nail it every time.

I just had the most interesting and tasty crawfish I've ever had, and I can't wait to try it at home for my next boil.

Best crawfish I've had in recent memory was at Crawfish and Noodles in Houston. Looking forward to trying Chow Yum Phat's crawfish someday.

My Asian friends SWEAR by this place. They toss the crawfish in butter after it's cooked.

the crawfish are not from Vietnam, they are local and treated in a Vietnamese style

As sacrilegious as Americans destroying pho and banh mi.

But on the real, the vieg-Cajun style gets old really fast though it's delicious. I can eat a ton more of the "normal" style.

I swear by this.. I got the 5lb order along with Montalbano’s. I would eat like 8 Montalbano crawfish then switch to CYP for 2-3 crawfish and man that was a great flavor experience. CYP comes in way to high on prices. 5 lbs for 25 dollars is ridiculous.
