The wife and I are doing a weekend in Vicksburg Mississippi at the end of the month. What are some good places to eat or maybe catch some live music on a Friday or Saturday night. We are staying in one of the old mansions from the 1800’s that has been converted to a bed and breakfast and it also has a lounge that serves dinner on the property. Seems like a cool setup

Not sure such a thing exists in VBurg.

Rusty's Riverfront Grill. Solly's Hot Tamales.

Remember... you will be in Vicksburg.

Rusty’s has great food. Key City brewery usually has live music on the rooftop which is a nice setup

The bar at the Beechwood. Could be a tad trashy. Not a bad thing imho.

Another recommendation for Rusty's.

Several years ago my wife and I took a long weekend trip to Vicksburg to gamble and just goof around.

Went to Rusty's the first night based on a recommendation from my uncle.

Went back the next night because it was phenomenal.

All I can tell you is to avoid the Taco Casa, but go to Divine Donuts on Hall's Ferry. They have good kolaches, fritters, donuts, and tamales.

Awesome these sound good and by nightlife I meant some local band or guy playing in the back of a restaurant or bar/lounge for a few hours nothing crazy. We are late 30’s so wouldn’t be out super late

Go to “The Tomato Place” for lunch. Their fried green tomato BLT is ridiculous

Changing the subject but I find this interesting. Vicksburg elevation is 200 ft. Right across the river in Delta the elevation is 89 ft.
