Just a little FYI everything with the exception of possibly 4 items are made in house and not frozen. Nothing has changed from back in the day except the looks of it.

p.s. I know for a fact that Val's doesn't even use Sysco for anything not one of their vendors. Also check out the outdoorkitchenshow.com and see the items they make in house you will be surprised.

they have a bar but there aren't any BAR fights there. It's just a local bar with a few stools. they are a restaurant not a bar.

2 pages and no one has mentioned Red's????? Come on it's waaaay better than Vals. Their fried shrimp is ridiculously good. Used to go to Vals before we found out about Reds. For those that don't know Reds is about 3-4 houses before you hit Vals heading toward chinquapin.

How did you used to go to Val's and not know about Red's. You could spit on the other from either parking lot. Val's is better IMHO.

not an owner but know the owners and the people that work there. I can just tell that it's been a long while since some have been there because of some of the post. Just making all aware of some of the misconceptions being said.

LOTS of good restaurants in the Head of Island, Maurepas area is my opinion.

I never said there was. I recommend Mannys for bar fighting needs.

Besides, one of the Bells has spikey hair, spray on tan, and affliction shirts so you know he is bad arse.

I usually go about once a year, no I have never seen a barfight, just saying there is a bar. My father refuses to leave the greater head of island area except to head to work so we are usually forced into eating at one of the restaurants out there. I don't think they are bad, just dont think they are anything special. Hilltop is the best, but it doesn't take much to outshine them.

because we went to vals to eat and had never tried reds. How hard is that to understand? Now we only go to reds and haven't been to vals in over a year.

I think you mean Serena. She was old 20 years ago, but I think she still works there.
