Dear Respondent Friends,
Thank you for all the kind words. Your encouragement may lead me to shift from top ten lists to top twenty lists because ten items is just never enough. I have never had the crab cakes, except I did get a stuffed crab there once on the seafood platter, which is one of the best seafood platters in town. The stuffed crab would not be top 20.
The area east of the airport between the First Baptist Church has always been empty. I was told this was due to the crash. Not necessarily that the crash hit that area, but that no one wanted to build there after the crash.

Thank you for that Tulane. I will never pass near Kenner without a stop at Kenner Seafood. Without a doubt in my mind, the best Fried Shrimp Poboy in the world. Everybody I ever bring to sample that fare are blown away. It is everything Baton Rouge struggles to understand. Proper French Bread, the right sized popcorn shrimp fried crispy and so many that you end up with a pile on you plate after. The only way to attempt a bite is to smash it down and don't let go till you are done. I want to drive there from BR right now just thinking about it.
