True Food Kitchen to Open Sept. 25th in Warehouse District

Has anyone ever eaten at one of these? I'm all about a healthier option every now and then if it doesn't taste like cardboard.

No chance I ever eat there.

Salad Station is very legit though.

I’ve been to one in Denver, thought it was pretty good and a good option

No thanks. Not a fan of people reaching over my food

Good food. Pretty pricey for what they serve, don't see it working in NOLA.

I eat at the one in Houston every other month or so. Like I said, good food, but at those prices in NOLA you can eat somewhere better.

The food is good but unless you work downtown I wouldn’t make a point of going

No. More options, not just juice, salads, bowls, and serves alcohol. There's a place for both in the area, imo.

Yeah, there is actually meat on the menu. Daily Beet salads have been pretty good but sometimes I just want some damn protein that's not an egg.

So I hit the soft opening this weekend and was honestly pretty surprised. Everything on the menu is supposed to be healthy, but none of what I had tasted that way.

Had the Apple Gold Rush bourbon cocktail, which was pretty nice and balanced with lemon and apple in it.

The lasagna bolognese with fennel chicken sausage tasted like it could have come from an long-running Italian restaurant. Then the brussel sprouts with miso mushrooms with chili were legit.

All in all, I left pretty full and was surprised that it is a full scratch kitchen with a full bar. I'll probably it every now and then when I'm around the Warehouse District.

My gripe with Salad Station is that their pricing model basically only benefits people who load their salads with meat, since it goes by weight. Would make much more sense to work like Jason’s Deli and have a flat fee for the salad bar and then $3 or whatever for a protein.

I spent $14 on a salad with no meat at Salad Station.
