One of the greatest meals in my life was last spring in Lisbon. Its a small place tucked op a steep hill in the section known as the Moorish Quarter, Cantinho do Aziz. Not fancy at all, but beautiful views and amazing food. Try a dish called Makoufe.

Thanks, pmac. That sounds exactly our speed.

On a side note, someone didn’t play enough Carmen San Diego in the early to mid-90’s.

Cheers!

We were there in August and my two favorite were..

Taberna Sal Grosso - Small place that was great... it was close to where we stayed in the Alfama district...

O Frade - On the outskirts in Belem.. fricking incredible! they have an outpost in the Time Out market in Lisbon, but the original restaurant is such a great experience and worth the distance..

Lots of good places in Lisbon and there are neighborhood bakeries everywhere. Enjoy the pasteis de natas and coffee in the morning.

One place I remember going to was Chimera. We had an excellent meal there.

Read this as a joke. Well done if intentional

Alma and please bring me back some of the olive oil

For a more casual dine hit the time out market

Sign up for a food tour

Day trip to Sintra is highly recommended

Been to Lisbon several times, it is one of my favorite cities in the world.

Time out market is cool and definitely worth going to check out one day. We ate at both Alma and Tapisco. Tapisco is probably the best meal I've had in my lifetime. Sitting at the bar and watching the chefs cook was awesome.
