You "haters" out there probably don't even put rum in your bread pudding rum sauce cause it gives it a strong taste.
Putting crabmeat on top of steak has been around for 50 years. Just because some restaurants are to cheap to do it doesn't mean it isn't good!
Bombay, go to your local seafood retailer and pick up some jumbo or lump. Sautee it in butter and place on top once you finish preparing your steak.
It goes great over bake potatoes, lobster, etc...........

That's one of the things I miss about joey when he was at Maggio's, he would load all my dishes down with lump crabmeat.

you can get the same desired effect by putting a few vienna sausages, 1 tablespoon of canned tuna, lemon juice, dijon mustard, fresh cracked blacked pepper in the blender, and then top your steak...

I'm going to Ruffino's tonite for the SIL's birthday and in honor of this thread, I'm getting lump crab meat on my appetizer, salad, entree and dessert.

I can't believe anyone actually thinks crabmeat and a steak goes together. If you like it, eat it. Just know the restaurant you ordered it at knows they just screwed you out of an extra $15 so you could feel special about yourself and impress your trailer park date.

I had a sauce of lemon, butter, jumbo lump, and crawfish tails over my filet at impostatos last night.
VERY good. The pecan smoked flavor along with the nice crust set it off.
The sauce was incredible and honestly, I'lalways like a GREAT jumbo lump sauce on top of my steak.
To each his own, this is my own.

The only topping I'll take with a steak are good sauteed onions.
