A few decades back, they packaged a crawfish boil powder in a blue can. It was fantastic.

Well they have a new one. I looked at the ingredients on back and celery seed is a predominant ingredient.

A few fellas around here suggested celery seed to me the other day. I tried it and it was noticeable and very good.

I picked some up the other day when I saw it, but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. I thought it looked interesting.

If you use it, even with shrimp or whatever. Tell us what you think.

The next thing I try is chackbay.

i finally tried chackbay... too salty for my taste. I know all seasonings have lots of salt, but I thought it was overpowering.

Chackbay has very little salt in it.

That's funny because all these guys that use it seem to add mass quantities of salt.

Surprised by the taste then, and it’s the main ingredient.

that could explain it. I didn’t do the boil and the one who did may have added salt. I did grab the bag after and look at the ingredients though.
