I would never attend something called a "Friendsgiving". And you shouldn't either.

Right? It makes vastly more sense to avoid a fun, gluttonous get together with one's closest friends simply because one didn't like what the event was named. That's the recipe for happiness in life, I'm sure of it.

You wouldn’t because you don’t have any friends.

Hosting one on Tuesday with 14 of us. Looking forward to eating, drinking, and giving thanks for the group of friends we have in our life.

OP, not making anything this year, but a close friend of mine does an "Expat Thanksgiving" every year for friends in town who can't/won't be with family for Thanksgiving day. Every year, he posts the menu from the previous, just as an example of what will be offered. This is last year's menu; maybe something on there will spark something for you:
Appetizers:
- Stuffed Mushrooms with Sweet Italian Sausage and Dried Blueberries
- Dad’s Chili Dip
- Artichoke and Spinach Dip
- Baked Brie Bites
Entrees:
- Lemon-Sage-Butter Roasted Turkey
- Lobster Mac & Cheese
- Butternut Squash Lasagna
Sides:
- Mashed Potatoes with Butter and Gravy
- Sausage, Apple, and Sage "Yankee" Stuffing
- Oyster Dressing
- Sweet Potatoes in Caramel Cream Sauce
- Green Bean Casserole
- Thanksgiving Slaw
- Cranberry Sauce
- Parker House Dinner Rolls
Desserts:
- New York-Style Cheesecake
- Deep-Dish Apple Pie with Spiced Cream
- Bourbon Pecan Slab Pie
- Flourless Chocolate Torte
- Pumpkin Espresso Bundt Cake
- Cranberry Cheesecake Bars

Don’t worry. No one wants you to attend in your mustard stained Auburn PFG.
