Ice water is supposed to make the crust crispier.

He got it from me, I get them wholesale and don’t mark them up as much as in stores. Got 1 left but it’s not the aluminum one like that it’s there standard painted ones (that’s what I have). I can get more in there’s interest I’d just have to put in a order and get them and that takes a little time. You can email me, goes for anyone nolagt3 at the g mail.
This is the brand, I can get any of it. Cajun Fryer

I know people that swear by adding chopped raw onion rings to the oil with no intentions to eat them, it is supposed to help prevent the oil from burning as easily

I have only seen them add it to the pile of fried fish to give a little aromatic flavoring. I cant see how onion would prevent oil from burning

With that Cajun fryer there is a V at the bottom so all the crumbs sink to under the heat and that stops the crumbs from burning and putting a nasty flavor into the oil. I also use peanut oil so it last longer and I think can take more heat? I leave my oil in the fryer, night drain and strain every now and then, and then replace when its time.

I agree, just could not think of any other "tips" that weren't mentioned.

Very light roll in yellow mustard and batter with LA Fish Fry. I mix blue bag "Seasoned' and red bag "Cajun" together 1:1 ratio.
