Interesting.
Usually, I make wing sauces from cayenne hot sauces, and use Tabasco elsewhere. I've done Crystal, but my #1 for wings is the obvious Franks.
ETA: I love buffalo sauce, but I am not really a solo hot sauce person in general. Always found it weird when people lathered their red beans in it.. but that's just because we didn't use hot sauce as a condiment growing up. Dad SOMETIMES did, but not really any of us.

just did.
Tabasco wins on heat, but I still prefer the flavor of la hot sauce.
sriracha beats both in flavor.

Mix 3 sticks butter, I bottle each of Trappey's and Crystal, and a few(3 or 4)T of Tabasco with a T of garlic powder. Drop your wings in that straight from the fryer. Then devour. You'll publically spit on Franks as you walk down the sauce isle afterward. Truth.

I like it for Asian dishes, but that's where I stop. La style sauce for La style dishes for me.

i keep Crystal too. And i'll use LA when someone gives it too me. I just think Tabasco goes best with those dishes i mentioned.
TH, as far as Habanero tabasco, i always thought the regular tabasco had more heat. Who knows.

same here. I love it on fried rice. I basically use it hand in hand with soy sauce. I use LA for Cajun/creole and even beef tips, turnip greens, etc. I'll murder some cholula on eggs though
Lester, I always thought the habenero had a better kick. I just love all things habenero though.

Go home and pour yourself a T each of Louisiana and Tabasco. Eat in that order. Post here whether you think the heat level is the same.
Just did this with a few hot sauces.
Tabasco
LA Hot sauce
Franks
Cholula Chili Garlic
Tabasco seemed to be the hottest but is the worst tasting by itself. Cholula tasted the best. I have a crystal but its unopened so I didnt try that one.

Srimayo is an awesome dipping sauce for boiled shrimp and potatoes.

I like using sriracha in pho, vermicelli, and on eggs.
