Chef's in Pineville. He has a dailey lunch "theme" plus awesome burgers and homemade potato chips. Very reasonably priced. Try the shrimp and grits.

Bergeron's in Lobdell, just off I-10 - Damn good plate lunches, especially on Monday - Stuffed Pork Chops, cheesy mashed potatoes, and green beans. Also, have damn good everything for you to bring home and cook.

Cormie's Grocery south of Lake Charles - Good everything, especially boudin balls. Best bread pudding ever, can taste alcohol in it.

Boudin King in Crowley.

Harbor Lights on Big Lake - Damn good crawfish and fried food.

Maria's Hot Tamales - Toledo Bend at Lanana Bay.

Moon's Grocery in Antioch...'bout half-way between Homer & Summerfield. Good steaks and great ribs. Don't look for a fancy place to eat, but be ready to enjoy good food. LINK

And also there's Sea and Sirloin which is just off of Black Lake and north of Campti in Natchitoches Parish. LINK

It's now officially a chain, with 3 locations: Des allemand's (rebuilt after fire), Thibodaux and Houma.

Another good place to eat is Hollis' in Spearsville if you like buffets. It's mostly seafood and the food is very good.

Another place in the country to get some good grub is Jr's in Simsboro.

Has anyone mentioned Morvant's in Youngsville yet. I've never had anything bad off the menu and the burgers are very good. Prices aren't bad either.
