Good hamburgers: Pak-A-Bag in Homer makes some of the best homemade burgers. No frozen patties, but patted out by hand.

Also, Bailey's in Coushatta. It's been a while since I've eaten one, but my brother says they're as good as they ever was.

Ask for the Cajun Deluxe. It's two patties pressed together with cheese in between them then deep-fried. Commonly referred to as "the heart attack on a bun."

But is quite delicious!

I am not sure of the name of the place (dans and annes maybe) in Mamou, they have a deep fried burger that is awesome. You can actually hear your heart slowing down when you eat it.

Knot's Landing - Lake Arthur, La

Not sure if this has already been discussed or not, but Lake Arthur has a Nott's Corner. I've never heard Knot's Landing except for the TV show. But yes, Nott's Corner has great food!

I think its called the Stagecoach or the Chuckwagon or something in Natchitoches. It has a toy train running around the place and you can get a meat pie platter for about 6 bucks.

Its on Hwy 1 coming into town from the south of town. We eat lunch there every Sunday on the way back from an LSU game in Baton Rouge.
