B&C Seafood in Vacherie; Griffin's po-boys in Houma (fried bacon-wrapped shrimp poboy and blackened shrimp poboy are out of this world); Hawk's Crawfish in Branch, LA; L&M in Vacherie for the best plate lunches anywhere

Another shout out to Camille's Cajun Cafe; address is Port Allen, it is on 190 before you get to the turn off to I-10/Lobdell.

Ate there last weekend going to and coming back from game. Great gumbo, fried oysters, crab/shrimp augratin.

I love Sal & Judy's in Lacombe. Also, La Provence is incredible, just not a jeans and t-shirt kinda place.

Jim Bowies in Enterprize, if you can find it, has some pretty good steaks and a great atmosphere.

Grapevine in Donaldsonville. Outstanding all the way around. I left there yesterday with 3 takeout orders of bread pudding (the best in the universe) to bring home to Georgia and walked past John Folse's table on my way out.

Donaldsonville has some good eating. Cypress Cafe is a favorite for basic eats and Cafe LaFourche comes in somewhere between Cypress and Grapevine. Start with Grapevine though.

I saw a post from L.Lips (owner of Crab Trap)in the River Parish forum of Nola.com (#30403)saying all 3 restaurants should be open by the end of Feb....Peavine, Crab Trap, and the new Frenier Landing (next to the boat launch)...
Sorry, no link.....
