Don't do fruit and/or nuts in tuna or chicken salad. I discovered one day that all the things I like in tuna salad were already in olive salad. I drain most of the oil out of a 1/3 cup of olive salad, add mayo, boiled eggs, S&P, it's ready.

Fruit and nuts are a must if I prepare a chicken salad for ladies, guys seem to prefer celery, gr. onion and extra cracked black pepper.

The only time I use fruit in chicken salad is if I make curry chicken salad, which is my favorite type and for that I use dried apricots and golden raisins.

Blue plate does wonders to canned tuna. Blue plate chopped dill pickles with celery makes a great tuna sandwich.
