As for the split checks, yes really. Its not an uncommon thing when I go out with co workers and it almost always happens when we go out for lunch. We always tip accordingly. However, 6 checks shouldn't take 30 min.
As for it being seat yourself, why have 4-5 people standing at the door greeting customers if its seat yourself? Also, if its your second day open expect to get some questions on how things operate.
Again, I plan on going back, just after giving it some time to settle in.

Went last night also
split the fish and chips with my wife, and while I know it's just beer battered cod, it was still pretty good!
Also the fries were hand cut!! yeaay!!
Had me a an ice cold Lifted Kilt from the tap and genuinely enjoyed the place.
Not sure which O-Ter it was in the booth next to us (with his wife, and daughter) but I heard their waiter mention the owner of the one in Dallas 'helped' the owners of the BR one get off the ground.
I also heard their waiter mention tigerdroppings, and the customer was nodding his head in agreement ...
I think this place will go far, I can certainly picture a crowed outdoor deck on Fri. or Sat. night, I just hope the under 25 year old crowd don't swarm the place and ruin it ......

we need to talk about the music, to me it can make or break a place. when i was there (around 6pm or so) 103.3 was playing.
I HATE that station, you guys have to consider satellite radio or musak, or even internet radio, i can send you a list of radio stations that would fit like a glove for the place....
but for the love of london bridge, don't make a habit of playing 103.3!!

It probably shouldn't, but you hit what is likely a new server learning a new system with this seperate check bullshite, so you get what you deserve.
