re: The first Chik-fil-a is coming to Orleans Parish

Guess I'm in the minority but I just do not get this phenomenon. I would not wait 30 minutes or more, being forced to jut out into major thoroughfares, for average tasting chicken. Blows my mind every time I see this.

And frick Chik fil a for causing dangerous traffic situations and municipalities for allowing it to continue.

Yes. The one in the Plaza was the first one in the state of Louisiana. It was there the day the Plaza opened in 1974. I worked there when I was in high school. If i'm not mistaken, the owner of the Lakeside location was the son of the owners of the Plaza location.

I actually remember the newsletter on the bulletin board in '91 proudly announcing the first stand alone Chick-Fil-A.

They also had a CFA in New Orleans Centre next to the Superdome.Pretty sure the Plaza, UNO, and New Orleans Centre were the first three in Orleans Parish.

I didn’t remember that one until you said it! I used to work at the New Orleans Centre - at Lord & Taylor - and CFA would give all mall workers a discount.

If you don’t go camp out and do a fatty rewind to get one of those eat free for a year coupons I hope they perma ban you for good this time
