I tried to go to lunch here the other day and a sign on door said closed permanently. Did a google search and saw that the owner/chef is moving on... Does anyone know what happened?

Ok.... Thanks for repeating what I said but my point was it gets a lot of praise when Houma threads come up and It has very good feedback on yelp/urban. I was asking ppl who maybe know the guy personally if it was bc business was bad or if he planned to open new restaurant. I've never been. I was in Houma for work and was gonna try it bc of the praise it gets on here

The owner is a musician and was offered something he could not turn down as a musician so he decided to close The Duke. There was talk that some ppl want to buy it and keep it open.
