First off, I realize that its overpriced will likely be underwhelming at best but its a character dinner and my kids will have a blast. Trip advisor said the food is better than expected. Carved meats, chicken, and fish are apparently on this buffet. Anybody eat there? How was it? TIA

We were there in October. The food was much better than I anticipated. There was a pretty vast selection and not just typical buffet food.
We did quite a few character meals on our trip and this one was a favorite of my two year old (she also really enjoyed Chef Mickey's, Disney Jr. @ Hollywood and Vine, and Cinderella's Royal Table at the castle).

It's been a long time, but the food is pretty good, for a buffet. The kids will love it, because they will get to pick their own stuff and there is a pretty nice spread of deserts.

When my kids were young and into the character meals, I would schedule a 2:00 reservation, so that the kids (and their parents) could take a load off their feet for an hour, while eating. Then we would be rested for the rest of the day. A late lunch split our day in half and gave us a nice break.

my family enjoyed it, not as good as Chef Mickeys but on the same level as Hollywood and Vine, has a great view of the Magic Kingdom

was there a few weeks ago. stopped in for a quick lunch before heading home. $230 later we were full and the kids were happy. Just remember its about the smiles not the food. The food isnt terrible either.

I think this is now my least favorite buffet on Disney's property. On our last visit this past October the staff couldn't keep up with putting food on to the buffet (there are 2 lines).

We enjoyed the character breakfast buffet at Cape May (Beach Club Resort). The buffet at Germany in Epcot was also great with a unique mix of food. It is very kid friendly with German music and dancing. In the Magic King we tried Liberty Tree Tavern for the first time and it was very good.

Honestly, the best buffet was probably Chef Mickeys. It wasn't great but it was better than the others we ate at.

It's not bad. There are better character dining options. Royal table is really good, I was actually impressed by the food for what it was.
I've only ever had breakfast (with Winnie the pooh and friends) at Crystal palace/

Went to the breakfast buffet there in November and it was great. Made a reservation for before the park opened so we went in and took pics on Main St. And near the castle without another soul in the background. It was pretty cool. Then we just walked right up the the Mine Train ride right as the park was opening and skipped the longest wait and didn't waste a fast pass...winning.

Great responses. we are going to do the Crystal Palace at dinner. We normally just snack and nibble all day long and do our heavy eating at night. I saw that there was a selection of carved meats so I will ingest as much protein as possible while the kids smile at the characters. At least that's my plan

Food was decent and my daughter loved the Character atmosphere.

We did the breakfast at crystal palace a few years ago. Have also done chef mickeys, ohana, the royal table, and hollywood and vine. Favorite has been ohana. Its good if you have a day without going to the park since its at the Polynesian resort.

We did ohana last trip. Its by far the best meal at disney. That sucker is booked the whole week I'll be there. It so close to magic kingdom you can just leave the park.....go eat.....and return.

The food is typical Disney buffet food. I think it really depends on which characters your kids like. The characters at the Crystal Palace are Winnie and friends. My kids favorite character meal was the breakfast at Tusker House with Mickey, Donald and friends.
