everything folse does is about big $$$ .. if he opened a place in BR, it would be extremely pricey .. especially for what it is .. i can see him serving a $29.95 plate of etouffe ... i got food poisoning from hollandaise sauce at his place in donaldsonville years ago ..

Lafayette has several too. There just seems to be a fall off in the capital city of southern/Louisiana food restaurants.

and its going to be AWESOME.
heygirl i wasnt talking to you.

The plan is for Burgersmith to move into the old AT&T space and install a drive-through window wrapping around to face Acadian Thruway
With the traffic already so thick at that intersection, how is a drive-through a good idea?

hamburgers and sandwiches are just a lazy, unimaginative model ..
I've got a solution for you.
Burger Bar
Established in November 2003, Burger Bar is on the Strip in Mandalay Place and is the project of celebrity chef Hubert Keller. The restaurant held "Zagat" dining guide options of "very good to excellent" for its food and "good to very good" for its decor and service as of September 2010. Diners create their own burgers beginning with a selection of meats, including midwester Black Angus, beef from a family owned farm, Kobe beef from farms on the Snake River and ground buffalo meat from Wyoming. Then, guests can add whatever items they wish, such as blue or provolone cheeses or vegetables like avocado or sliced cucumber. To finish and personalize the burger, the restaurant also offers 31 additional toppings like black truffles, pickled green tomatoes, lobster meat and pan-seared foie gras. Grilled chicken, salmon steak and turkey burgers are available instead of beef. The restaurant has a full bar. Burger Bar serves lunch and dinner daily and stays open late Friday and Saturday nights. Reservations are only taken for large groups. Business casual attire is suggested. A children's menu is available for young diners.

The last thing BR needs is a bunch of overrated Las Vegas restaurants serving more of what we are already saturated with.

When talking about Italian in BR, how could somebody not mention Gino's?

that is NOT a lazy, unimaginative model .. of course, in BR if someone did that .. you would have your choice between ground chuck and ground sirloin ..

There isn't any. They are all in NOLA. If NOLA can have numerous "local" restaurants, can't BR just have 1?
It should have SEVERAL such places (I'd say at least 5 easy, given its size).
When I come on here and bemoan the fact that it doesn't, I get accused of "bashing" Baton Rouge.
