He can do what he wants. I'm just saying it's not like it's a huge hassle to drive 2 miles.

If he only wants to eat at the places within walking distance then that's his choice.

Casa Garcia has really gone down hill, but I agree with your number 1 (as being good, I don't know about the best...)I went to Impasto's on a whim and enjoyed it, now the place on Frenchmen (Aldolpho's is better; but not in JP)

I want to try Acropolis too, a friend was telling me about it.

Dammit, Tulane you just made me add more restaurants to my list. I will never get through it. I'm up to 174 now (places I want to eat in 11-12)

I like Byblos on Vets too, but a lot of people say its crap, but I think its better than the one on Magazine.

I try to get out a little bit. Like on the CBD side of Jackson or on the Park side of Napoleon.

good area, just had the $13 Filet at Freret St cafe today.

I've been doing two places a week on Freret, trying to check out this "new freret" thing.

Acropolis is pretty good. everyone i know goes there and gets the chicken parmesan.

that being said. It is pure ignorance to put R & Os on there. Everything they do World Deli does better. World Deli has the best Po Boys. If you argue your just wrong.

I don't even think the muffuletta at World Deli is all that. Po-boys are good, but better than R & O's? I might even take a Danny & Clyde's shrimp over the World Deli shrimp po-boy. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, I guess.

I am a firm believer that the true measure of a po boy place is its roast beef. Honestly i have never had a shrimp po boy that wasn't good, but roast beef po boys on the other hand have variation.

I'll agree with that. The quality of the roast beef and gravy are what separates the men from the boys

I usually order shrimp poboys so I guess I don't care that much about how good a poboy place is for the reason you said

Have you had the R & O Special? R & O's roastbeef is flaky and a bit spicy. I think it's one of the better roastbeefs. What is so much better about World Deli's, which I find ordinary yet good?

Roof's. Enjoy, Pman.

1) the roast beef is sliced and nut just chunks.
2) The gravy is insanely good and they let the roast beef sit in it which is the way to go. any place that puts the gravy on top should quite while the are behind.
3. the bread is just pretty perfect. hard to explain. crust in the best way possible
4. healthy dose of blue plate brings it all together.

the quintessential Roast beef po boy
