She sounds like good people and she knows what customer service is about. Sounds like folks feel at home when they go there. I don't know why I haven't been there, but I haven't.

I went to NOLA smokehouse today, but I plan on going tomorrow for my oysters and shrimp poboy.

Another place with owners that make me feel at home is Guilory's, I know they have a following as well. Last time I was there Al Scramuzza was there.
I was talking to him and mentioned my dad saying they never ate crawfish until he started coming out, my grandma considered it a trash fish. Al said he got that a lot, and feels he introduced a lot of creoles to some cajun delicacies.

It's damn good, and if I am feeling extra fat, I may get the tamale po-boy.

When I don't go to Parneton's on a Monday sometimes Brenda will tell me, "you ain't cheating on my beans with Guiliory's again are you"

I like both a lot. Those two, and Sammy's are my main lunch counter places.
