Tasty Ribs 'N' Things Mystery Continues ........

i know some of you are familiar with the little BBQ place, tasty ribs 'n' things on george o'neal near antioch (old abe's building) ... well .. the dude's got some really good BBQ and the sickest pulled pork sandwiches i have ever had ... but he has been inconsistent at best with his hours .. well, after gustav he looked like he had finally given up .. there was a real estate sign in front of the place well before gustav .. well, all of a sudden, last thursday he is open for business out of the blue .. 2-1/2 months he's been closed ... then, yesterday, he's not there again .. anyone from the area know what the frick's going on ?

he hasn't been the same since his 20 year old daughter was killed a year and a half ago in a car accident .. can't figure if he owns the place and is just trying to sell it or what .. the abe's lezbos don't still own the building, do they ?

I drove by his business this morning and saw on his sign out front that he is re-opening & that he was hiring...

yeah .. he put that up last week ... he was open on thursday .. closed friday .. open saturday and then closed sunday and yesterday ...

Sounds like trying to manage personal life is getting in the way of business or vise versa. I don't blame him though, if I lost a loved one I would find it hard to keep business going. God bless him for at least sticking with it.

me neither .. he really is a great person and can barbeque his arse off ... he was rolling up until that point .. whenever he's open, i always make it a point to buy four or five pulled pork sammys from him .. they are awesome ..

He's never open on Sunday & Monday.
IMO, he's got the best bbq in Baton Rouge. Pulled pork is fantastic. I'm partial to the St. Louis ribs. Everything he does is good.
A year or so ago, he was pondering the thought of moving from that location to a higher traffic area. He'd make a killing closer to campus.
