ETA: When Best Foods bought Hellman's in the 30's they each dominated their respective markets...so they kept the names.

Blue Plate or Hellman's .. both are fine for me. I'm not a huge mayo guy to begin with.

Lucy and I can't tell the difference. And we use a lot of Mayo since she loves chicken salad.
I also save fat grams on things like 90/10 ground meat for grilled burgers, Steamed skim milk with my espresso, etc. I probably save each of us 10,000 grams of fat a year through careful buying and cooking. It pays off in swim suit season... which is just around the corner.

Not trying to fight with anyone, but Miracle whip is gross.
Ate Blueplate for years, then Kraft for a while, then the wife showed me Helman's and I was hooked.
Was in a Helman's plant a few years back. Running qt jars at 800/minute. Had a 20,000 gallon silo of eggs to work with and two the same size of oil.
Was in New Jersey
It fills and moves the glass jars (back then) so fast that if you push the emergency stop panic buttons on the line, it took four hours to clear the broken glass from the line. To push the regular stop button took the line 4 minutes to slow to a stop.
Out west, Hellmans is Best Brand. Same Mayo, different but similar (same colors and layout) looking label.
