I’m in my 50s and had never heard of these until yesterday. We picked up some BBQ from the meat stand at the Hammond mall exit and they had them on special

tonite I made nachos with them and I sure would like to know where these have been my whole life. It’s basically a little meatball with cornmeal and tamale spices, magic in one bite

the google says it’s a New Orleans specialty?

It’s all the goodness of a tamale without the hassle of that fricking paper.

The tamale vendor ay my local farmers market sells tamale balls. They’re tasty, but I prefer a traditional tamale with a separate masa/cornmeal and filling. These are cornmeal and meat all mixed together. The vendor says she makes them mostly for large catering orders for parties and for bars.

Is it the one just after the roundabout by Club Deluxe?

C, have you ever had a Pache? It’s a Tamale with potato instead of corn. They are killer.

You've never had Masa-ball Soup?

Essentially, it's Menudo with tamale balls in it...

One of those cure all type of soups, aka Mexican penicillin!

Someone in my family brings a crock pot full of them at gatherings. It’s money.
