My wife and I like Akira in Fat City. It has an all you can eat offering, but with a twist - it's not a buffet. You order a round of dishes of your choosing and if you want more, you order another round and so on. The quality is pretty good, too. Dinner is about $21 and lunch about $15.

Fat city has some solid restaurants.

Another place I'm hearing good things about is Daiwa in Metairie

Kanno is my favorite. My kids as well. When they want to binge on sushi they go to Akira. Daughter is bringing me to Akira for my Father’s Day gift. I’m looking forward to it!
